This kids TV show brings together the old and the new. Classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy are now brought to us in computer animation. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a Playhouse Disney TV show for younger kids and has run now for over 100 episodes.

Storyline

In each episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse there is a mystery or problem to solve. What the problem is will vary, but may include such problems as rescuing a Disney character from a villain or finding something that one of the characters lost. In order to solve the overall mystery Mickey is given four tools to help solve the problem. One of them is a mystery tool represented by a question mark. Each tool is used to solve a different smaller problem on the way to solving the major episode problem. Different Disney characters are involved throughout. The smaller problems usually involve some sort of learning like counting or letters or shapes that kids watching can help solve.

Example episode stories include Mickey helps Pluto find his lost ball, the Disney characters play hide-and-seek, Daisy gets carried away by a bunch of balloons, Donald gets the hiccups, and Goofy looses his favorite hat.

Overall Review

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a great TV show for kids. It brings together classic Disney characters with modern computer animation so the show looks up to date, but has that great Disney feel. The show is definitely for younger kids and offers good learning opportunities.
