Knitting Factory Tapped To Book The Slowdown In Omaha

OMAHA, NE (CelebrityAccess) – Knitting Factory Entertainment that they have signed on for an in-house booking deal with Omaha rock club Slowdown.

Named as a tribute to early Omaha music scene mainstays Slowdown Virginia, the club 470-capacity club located at 729 North 14th Street, was opened in 2007 both as a music venue and as a home for local label Saddle Creek Records. The Slowdown was named club of the year by Esquire magazine in 2008 and has presented shows by artists such as Silversun Pickups, Bright Eyes, The National and Vampire Weekend.

The club will be booked by Knitting Factory Presents talent buyer, Dave Poe who joined the company in August 2015. Poe will continue to work from the New York offices and book Highline Ballroom in Manhattan.
