Kenyan Lawyer Sues Israel, Italy, Pontius Pilate And Others For The Unlawful Trial Of Jesus Ch
A Kenyan lawyer has reportedly filed suit at the International Court of Justice against what he terms the malicious and unlawful trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Dola Indidis claims Jesus was not given a fair trial, had his fundamental human rights violated and he believes the states of Israel and Italy can be held responsible for the actions they carried out circa AD 33.
Also named in the suit, myjoyonline reports, quoting a Nigerian website, include “Tiberius (emperor of Rome, 42 BCE-37 CE), Pontius Pilate, a selection of Jewish elders and King Herod.”
Indidis, a former spokesperson of the Kenyan judiciary, believes the actors named can be sued via the governments on whose behalf they acted.
He told the Kenyan Citizen News that evidence to support his claim of the unlawfulness of Jesus’ trial abounds in the bible.
“Evidence today is on record in the Bible, and you cannot discredit the Bible,” he said.
“I filed the case because it’s my duty to uphold the dignity of Jesus and I have gone to the ICJ to seek justice for the man from Nazareth,”
He added: “His selective and malicious prosecution violated his human rights through judicial misconduct, abuse of office, bias and prejudice.”
According to the report: “He (Indidis) is challenging the mode of questioning used during Jesus’s trial, prosecution, hearing and sentencing; the form of punishment meted out to him while undergoing judicial proceedings and the substance of the information used to convict him.”
We would all love to see this trial, if for nothing at least for Indidis having to prove the accuracy of the Bible in court. It might be a tad more difficult than he probably thinks.
