John Mayer Hospitalized, Dead & Company Postpone NOLA Show
NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess) — The Grateful Dead revival Dead & Company was forced to postpone their December 5th concert in New Orleans after John Mayer was admitted to the hospital for emergency medical care.
In an email statement, the band’s publicist wrote:
“Early this morning, Tuesday, December 5th, John Mayer was admitted to the hospital for emergency appendectomy forcing the Dead & Company December 5th concert in New Orleans to be postponed.
“All tickets for the December 5 show will be honored for the rescheduled date. Information on the rescheduled date will be announced as soon as possible. Should ticketholders choose to seek a refund, they will be available at point of purchase.”
Mayer plays lead guitar in the group which includes several members of the original Grateful Dead — Bill Kruetzmann, Bob Weir, Jeff Chimenti, and Mickey Hart — along with Otiel Burbridge.
Dead & Company’s next show is scheduled for Dec. 7th at the Amway Center in Orlando, with a performance at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL, set for the following night.
